Participation Guidelines

Description

Alliant Energy's Energy Efficiency Dealer Network Program encourages the use of energy-efficient equipment by customers, helps local contractors market these products and promotes the Alliant Energy Energy Efficiency brand.

Participation guidelines have been established to ensure customers that dealers have met a consistent set of requirements and quality standards. Alliant Energy customers will receive the best in customer service from participating dealers who support our efficiency programs.

Eligible participants

To be eligible for the program, dealers or contractors must do business in the Alliant Energy service area and be involved in the sale of energy-efficient comfort equipment, lighting, building shell measures, replacement windows and all other energy-efficient equipment deemed eligible for Alliant Energy customer incentives.

 

Effective dates

To qualify, you must sign up and have on file an approved Participation Agreement:

Allowance

Each participating dealer will be eligible for annual benefits including:

  • 20 percent dealer incentive program (IA/MN only): Available for energy-efficient agricultural equipment (Iowa only), heating and cooling equipment, geothermal systems, insulation (10 percent), water heaters, clock programmable thermostats and replacement windows/sashes and doors.
  • Co-op advertising: 50 percent up to allotted budget (limited funding)
  • Trade show assistance: 50 percent up to allotted budget (limited funding)
  • Scholarship reimbursement: 50 percent up to allotted budget (limited funding)
  • Frequent information updates
  • Dedicated Participating Dealer Web site and online contractor locator
  • Additional programs and services as they become available

 

Promotion and publicity

Participants will be included in the Dealer Locator, available to customers online at www.alliantenergy.com/dealerlocator.

 

Requirements

You must show proof of status by providing:

  • A tax ID number or social security number for sole proprietorship.
  • A certificate of insurance with a minimum of $1,000,000 liability per each occurrence (note: have your insurance agent list Alliant Energy as a certificate holder)
  • A copy of one of the following:
    - State or County Contractor's Registration
    - Manufacturer's Training Certificate
    - Copy of CFC Certificate
    - Workforce Development Registration

Alliant Energy will examine materials for eligibility based on the above requirements. Exclusion of any one of the minimum requirements may make the participation form invalid.

Your participating dealer status can be terminated if you repeatedly submit incomplete forms or have customer complaints on file. With ongoing review, active status may be reinstated.

 

Distribution of incentives

Program assistance and participation will be awarded on a competitive basis until all available funds are exhausted.

Alliant Energy trade account managers will make decisions on the validity of claims and program requests.

Alliant Energy makes no warranties, expressed or implied, with respect to any equipment purchased and/or installed, including, but not limited to, any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. In no event shall Alliant Energy be liable for any incidental or consequential damages.
